Fraser Coast Hospice is a 6-bed short-stay facility where people spend their final days and weeks surrounded by comfort, dignity, and the people they love. Most people stay with us for 4-5 days, though this varies depending on individual needs.
Facing the end of life with someone you care about is often one of the most challenging times in your life. At Fraser Coast Hospice, we create space for you to simply be together – to love, to talk, to remember, and to say goodbye in your own way.
But here's the reality: whilst we've received generous government funding and community support to get us started, we need ongoing community backing to keep our doors open and our care fee-free. Generosity from people like you is absolutely essential. We can’t do it without you! We must raise nearly $60,000 every month or $2000 per day to provide first class palliative care for terminally ill people who really need it.
Our needs are ongoing, and your ongoing support is vital.
Fraser Coast Hospice is proud to be the beneficary of the 3rd annual Empower Her Conference in Hervey Bay. EmpowerHer unites women to grow, connect and inspire one another, while raising vital funds for Fraser Coast Hospice so local families can access compassionate end-of-life care, support and dignity.
We are grateful to conference organiser & founder of BiziWomen Connect, Kylie Hunt, the organising committee members, sponsors and all of the event attendees for their generous donations and continued support.
BiziWomen Connect was established in 2022 to combat isolation among regional businesswomen with an online and in-person network. BiziWomen Connect demonstrate community leadership as valued Community Leader partners of the Fraser Coast Hospice, helping us to sustain fee-free inpatient palliative care services on the Fraser Coast.
