About this cause

This Christmas, give the gift of discovery

Every day, Australians living with Parkinson’s like Paula Argy face challenges that go far beyond tremors and stiffness. From medication timing to managing symptoms that change hour by hour - life with Parkinson’s can feel unpredictable.

A snippet of Paula's story
Diagnosed with young-onset Parkinson’s disease as a young adult, Paula Argy has lived with the condition for over 35 years - a journey marked by courage, loss, resilience, and ultimately, hope. But in 2022, everything changed. A new advanced therapy transformed her life. Within weeks, she regained her mobility, independence, and zest for life - reclaiming the ability to walk, dance, socialise, travel, and feel joy once more.

This Christmas, Parkinson’s Australia is asking for your support to advance research trials focused on improving the treatment of Parkinson’s. Your donation will help studies into:

  • New medications to manage Parkinson’s more effectively
  • Innovative methods of medication delivery to enhance efficacy and improve outcomes for people living with Parkinson’s.

Parkinson’s Australia works with national research partners to help promote and recruit participants - both with and without Parkinson’s - ensuring the success of these important trials.

Ongoing research is essential to improving treatment options and quality of life for the Parkinson’s community, and your contribution this Christmas will help drive the next stage of discovery.

Give what you can to promote and support Parkinson’s research this Christmas - help people like Paula get their life back!
